Brake Light Red Tide

Field Report, Christopher Porterfield's musical namesake, released their latest record “Brake Light Red Tide” in the spring of 2020. Porterfield didn't set out to create an album, but rather took the approach of crafting each song as worlds unto themselves. “We made ships in bottles, one at a time, until that one was done. A few bottles broke. But when I took stock of these things, I realized we had a pile of them.”

 

The albums' imagery was assembled much the same way. Stitching fragments of memories together, each sliver offering a small glimpse into each song's world.
